“About  the Shop”

An inviting shop in the quaint setting of Ocracoke Village, North Carolina, The Gathering Place offers a nice selection of nautical and home décor items, gifts and keepsakes, metal art, local and regional art, handcrafted pottery, jewelry, and a fine selection of handcrafted cutlery featuring  the “ Gentleman’s Pocket Knife” and other unique pieces.

The shop is  generally open April 1  through Thanksgiving weekend.

Website orders and mail orders are accepted year round  subject to availability

For retail shop customers, shipping is available for any items you have seen in the shop, but not shown on website, as long as the item is in stock.

Hanover Chime Clocks and Laguiole Knives may be special ordered at any time.

Hanover Clocks can be personalized on the dial with names, dates etc

Laguiole shepherd knives,11cm size, can be personalized on the spine with a name, initials or date (limited number of characters)

Personalized orders must be faxed or sent in writing or by email.
